Align
The Goal: The Goal: Clarity.
We start with focused conversations to clarify goals, surface constraints, and align on what success actually looks like for your organization. Before any work begins, we make sure we're aiming at the right target.

The Goal: The Goal: The Right Problem.
Most consulting solves the wrong problem beautifully. We don't. Using interviews, surveys, and behavioral data, we verify what's actually driving outcomes — so the work that follows targets the real issue, not the reported one.
The Goal: The Goal: Change..
This is where the work happens. Through tailored workshops, coaching, and practice labs, we work directly with your team to build skills and shift dynamics in real time.
The Goal: The Goal: Sustainability.
We don't just walk away. We return through follow-up assessments and check-ins to ensure new habits are sticking and delivering measurable impact.
Here are some of the most common questions leaders and teams ask before we work together. If you don't see your question here, you're always welcome to reach out.
Because we sit at an unusual intersection: rigorous research and 25+ years of real-world leadership experience. Most training delivers ideas. We work on the actual decisions, dynamics, and tensions your team is navigating right now. That's why teams leave with clarity, alignment, and changes they can apply immediately—not just a good workshop experience.
Dr. Eric Zackrison leads every engagement personally. He holds a PhD and brings over 25 years of experience across corporate leadership, organizational consulting, and university-level instruction as a faculty member in UCSB's Technology Management Program. For larger or multi-track engagements, Eric occasionally partners with a select group of trusted facilitators who share the same standards and approach. Either way, you're never handed off to someone you haven't met—and Eric remains your primary point of contact throughout.
We partner with organizations of all sizes—from fast-growing tech companies to global engineering teams, nonprofits, city and county governments, and major health and education organizations. Because our work focuses on leadership, communication, and team effectiveness, our tools apply across industries. If your team works with people, we can help.
We work with groups ranging from small leadership teams of 6–8 people to full-organization sessions of 100 or more. The format, pacing, and activities are calibrated to your group size. If you're not sure whether your situation fits, the discovery call is the right place to find out—there's no obligation and no pitch.
Usually at an inflection point: a new leader stepping into a team, a merger or restructuring, chronic communication breakdowns, a team that's technically strong but struggling to collaborate, or an organization preparing for a significant strategic shift. If something feels stuck—or you sense the team could perform at a higher level with better alignment—that's typically the right time.
Many of our clients come to us after previous training didn't lead to lasting change. The difference is that we don't just deliver content—we work on how teams actually communicate, make decisions, and follow through. Behavior change happens in practice, not in a slide deck. That's what we're here for.
Our work centers on leadership, communication, and team effectiveness—but we don't start with topics. We start with your situation. Whether the need is alignment, conflict, decision-making, delegation, emotional intelligence, or navigating change, we design sessions around the real challenges your team is facing. The goal is always practical application, not just coverage.
Yes—always. Every engagement starts with a conversation about your goals, your team's dynamics, and the specific challenges you're navigating. We then design a program that fits your culture, timeline, and priorities. There are no generic slide decks. If it doesn't reflect your organization, it doesn't leave our desk.
Yes, and it's one of our strengths. Engineers, scientists, and technically-trained leaders are often skeptical of "soft skills" training—and they're right to be skeptical of the generic version. Dr. Zackrison teaches in UCSB's Technology Management Program and has worked extensively with tech companies, engineering teams, and science-driven organizations. We speak your language and frame leadership in terms that resonate with analytically-minded professionals: systems, data, evidence, and measurable outcomes.
You can expect clearer communication, healthier conflict, stronger alignment, and a noticeable boost in team trust and accountability. Most teams leave with specific tools they can start using the same day. Our goal is to create lasting behavior change, not just a great workshop experience.
We start with a discovery call to understand what's actually going on beneath the surface. From there, we recommend a focused approach and outline the investment clearly. Once aligned, we design and deliver the engagement, then follow up as needed to reinforce learning and support implementation. The process is straightforward, collaborative, and built around your timeline.
Absolutely. We create custom training content for organizations—including microlearning videos, internal course modules, onboarding programs, and full multi-week curricula. We can work from your existing documents, interview your subject-matter experts, or design everything from the ground up. We handle scripting, editing, instructional design, and even final video delivery, ensuring the content reflects your organization’s voice and goals.
Yes. We run workshops in-person, fully remote, and in hybrid formats—all at the same level of quality and engagement. Our virtual sessions use breakout rooms, collaborative tools, and real-time activities designed to keep participants connected and active. We coordinate the tech setup with your team before each session.
Yes. We offer both one-on-one and team coaching. Individual coaching is tailored to specific growth goals or organizational transitions—for new and experienced leaders alike. Engagements typically run several months and include structured assessment, goal-setting, and ongoing guidance as leaders apply new approaches in real time. Team coaching focuses on how a group works together—addressing dynamics, communication patterns, decision-making, and accountability at the collective level. Many organizations combine coaching with group workshops for stronger, more sustained development outcomes.
Clearer communication, healthier conflict, stronger alignment, and a noticeable increase in team trust and accountability. Most teams leave with specific tools and practices they can use immediately—not concepts to think about later. Our goal is lasting behavior change, not a great workshop that fades by Friday.
Yes. We can provide post-training surveys, impact check-ins, and optional follow-up coaching to reinforce the work. Many clients also use team assessments or pulse surveys to track progress over time. We'll work with you to choose the measurement approach that fits your goals and reporting needs.

Yes. We regularly facilitate conversations around conflict, misalignment, team dynamics, restructuring, role clarity, and cross-functional tension. Our approach creates a structured, psychologically safe environment where teams can work through hard issues productively and move forward with greater clarity and trust.
Leadership is fundamentally a relationship—it doesn't happen inside your head, it happens in the space between people. When leaders learn to navigate that space with clarity, trust, emotional intelligence, and intention, nearly everything else becomes easier. This philosophy is grounded in decades of research and practice. Every workshop we deliver is built on evidence, not intuition.
We use a programmatic pricing model based on the scope of work, level of customization, format, and whether the engagement includes design, delivery, and follow-up support. Most engagements are scoped as half-day, full-day, or multi-session programs — we'll recommend the right structure after our discovery call. From there, we provide a transparent flat-fee proposal — no hourly guesswork and no surprises. If you share your goals and constraints upfront, we'll recommend the option that gives you the best return on the investment.
For in-person sessions: a meeting room with tables, a projector or display screen, and space for small-group activities. For virtual sessions: a video platform with breakout room capability—Zoom works best (though Google Meet or MS Teams are acceptable), with participants joining individually for maximum engagement. We'll send a full setup checklist before your event so everything runs smoothly.
The first step is a brief discovery call—no pitch, no pressure, just a conversation to understand your situation and see if we're a good fit. If we are, we'll send a clear proposal within a few days. Book that conversation here.
